CD - Empire Music Group In. .As the Wu-Tang Clan began to expand their empire during the late '90s, a series of hodgepodge albums surfaced that jumbled mainstay clansmen alongside a bunch of questionable affiliates like Sunz of Man and Killarmy.
The Wu-Tang Clan is a New York City-based hip hop musical group, consisting of ten American rappers: RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, Cappadonna and the late Ol' Dirty Bastard. One of the most critically and commercially successful hip hop groups of all time, Wu-Tang Clan rose to fame with their uncompromising brand of hardcore rap music.
Famous wu-faces appear, including Inspectah Deck and ODB, along with a few who will not be recognised by anyone but the most die-hard wu-head (Mylanksy & Joe Mafia for example). The album ranges from the humorous (Hip-Hop Drunkies) to the poignant (On The Strength), and to the downright powerful (Never Again, which deals with the Holocaust), and is a must have for any Wu-Tang fan.
All of the various Wu-Tang solo projects elaborated on the theme the group laid out on its 1993 debut, the spare, menacing Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). Loud/RCA agreed to the deal, and the band's debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), appeared in November 1993. Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) was both critically acclaimed and commercially successful; although its financial success wasn't immediate, it was the result of a slow build. The first Wu-Tang member to become a major solo star was Method Man. In November 1994, he released Tical, the first official Wu-Tang solo album. Again, RZA produced the album, creating a dense, dirty sonic collage.
