Gabriel Gray by Loxy on Soundium X. Gabriel Gray (Overlook Remix) by Loxy. An energetic and all-around delightful tune to kick off Peggy Gou's brand new label, Gudu Records, and EP, Moment. Her cool, smooth vocals echo over the retro bassline and keys, with a touch of acid. You'll hear this one everywhere this summer-and rightfully so. Wed, 27 Mar 2019.

b. Beresford Simpson, . 962, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. Simpson began his recording career with Glen Brown, who produced Daughter A Whole Lotta Sugar Down Deh, which surfaced in the UK as the b-side to 2 Wedden Skank. Other singles appeared, notably Tel Aviv Skank. His early recordings were in his own name but he chose the pseudonym Prince Hammer for his own production, King Of Kings. The film Rockers included cameo appearances from nearly all of Jamaicas top performers including Prince Hammer, although he did not contribute to the soundtrack.

1999 is the fifth studio album by American recording artist Prince, and the first to feature his band the Revolution. It was released on October 27, 1982, by Warner Bros. 1999 was Prince's first top ten album on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States (peaking at number 9, besting that peak at number 7 after his death in 2016), subsequently becoming the fifth best-selling album of 1983

Prince Hammer was born Beris (sic) Simpson in Kingston, Jamaica, at the Kingston Jubilee Hospital. He grew up in the south part of Kingston. He first started deejaying for the Sound System Vee-Jay and cut his first 45 for Glen Brown in the mid seventies under his real name (or Berry Simpson). It might have been the single Daughter A Whole Lotta Sugar Down Deh, the b-side do Glen Brown's Two Wedden Skank (Downtown DT507).
