Frenzy is a 1979 album by New Zealand new wave band Split Enz. The album, like much of the band's work, featured mainly Tim Finn compositions. Frenzy ventured even further beyond the band's art rock roots to more of a pop sound. The album is notable for being the first to feature Neil Finn on lead vocals – though the lyrics to "Give It a Whirl" and both music & lyrics to "Master Plan" were written by his brother Tim.
One could hear a lot of potential on the group's promising debut album of 1977, Turnin' On. But regrettably, High Inergy only had one major hit - "You Can't Turn Me Off (In the Middle of Turning Me On)" - and was saddled with a lot of mediocre, pedestrian material after 1978. Released in 1979, the Californians' fourth album, Frenzy, turned out to be both a creative and an artistic disappointment

Frenzy is a term describing a supernatural fight-or-flight reaction experienced by characters in Vampire: The Masquerade. frenzy: crazed state of violent mental agitation. In Vampire: The Masquerade, Frenzy is when the Beast takes over the vampire's personality, usually a result of extreme stress such as starvation or public humiliation. The term only applies to the "fight" half of the "fight-or-flight" response, though Rötschreck (the "flight" half) is a similar experience in many respects.
