On Friday 6 July Parlophone (Warner) release This Is Morrissey album. On the same day, BMG release the single All The Young People Must Fall In Love, with Rose Garden as the B-side. The A-side is re-mixed by Bob Clearmountain. The B-side is live from The Grand ‘Ole Opry in Nashville.
Yesterday, 11th September, photographs of LP and Morrissey were released at the completion of Morrissey’s new album (of covers) in Los Angeles. Some shots were taken by Jesse Tobias – Morrissey’s guitarist & co-writer, some were taken by Damonan Acreonte – Morrissey’s PA/barber. Singer Morrissey has topped the first official UK album chart to include downloads. Ringleader of the Tormentors secured the number one spot, ahead of Massive Attack's Best Of, at number two. Pink's I'm Not Dead debuted at number three. In the singles chart, Morrissey's You Have Killed Me fell from number three to number 20. Gnarls Barkley's Crazy remained top, after going on sale in shops last week, ahead of Mary J Blige's and U2's One.
