Idlewild is the sixth and thus far final studio album by American hip hop duo Outkast. It was released on August 22, 2006, by LaFace Records and served as the soundtrack album to the duo's musical film of the same name, which was released that same month.
Post Electric Blues is the sixth full-length studio album by Scottish indie rock band Idlewild, self-released to around 3000 fans in June 2009. The album was subsequently released on October 5, 2009 on Cooking Vinyl. In terms of mood, there are still one or two moments where it feels like the band are holding back, ('No Emotion', somewhat ironically, errs on the side of safe), but then a song like 'If It Takes You Home' comes along to rattle your eardrums with two minutes of melodic rock perfection. The sweeping, lovelorn grandeur of 'American English' is easily the high watermark of Idlewild's most commercially successful album to date.
