A Head Full of Dreams is Coldplay’s chance to reassert the eager-to-please exuberance that Ghost Stories deliberately downplayed and prove that Adele isn’t the only artist who can mobilize a monoculture in 2015. But on the band’s seventh album, A Head Full of Dreams, the band’s relentless campaign to raise our spirits is liable to induce altitude sickness. Of course, there’s a perfectly logical reason for the album’s oversold optimism-A Head Full of Dreams is a reactionary retort to 2014’s Ghost Stories, a low-key response to a high-profile split that literally wore its (broken) heart on its sleeve. The new album, by contrast, is Martin’s unconscious recoupling record, the sound of a freshly single man stepping out onto the dancefloor to lose his mind and find new love.
We invited brewers from Cloudwater Brew Company, Fourpure Brewing Company, Hardknott Brewery, Marble Beers Limited, Moor Beer Company and Thornbridge Brewery to pair up with six of our own brewers to each create a style of beer that celebrates the flavours, styles and names that they each enjoy the most. New England IPA - Cloudwater, Manchester: New England IPA - 7% ABV. We've used oats, wheat and a mountain of hops - Chinook and Simcoe from the US and Olicana from the UK - to make a soft, juicy New England IPA. We've then bottle conditioned it, old-England style. Galleon - Fourpure, Bermondsey, London: Dry Hopped Lager- . % ABV. We've used lashings of Loral, a modern American hop, to give Galleon its unique character. There's bucket-loads of floral, citrus and delicious dark-fruit flavour in this crisp, refreshing lager. Dry-hopped for extra punch.
A penny for your thoughts is an invitation for others to volunteer their opinions. When the saying originated, a penny was worth a lot more than it is in the 21st Century. Therefore, a "penny for your thoughts" likely indicated the thoughts were more valuable to those imploring the listener to give them than they are by today’s standards. The phrase is usually meant as a symbolic gesture and the actual value should typically not be considered. This loss of value can be used derisively, however, often implied through tone of voice; someone can use this phrases in a sarcastic way to indicate that someone's idea is bad or worth a penny in modern value
A Penny For Your Thoughts: "The best things in life come in threes. friends, dreams and memories" Author. All my days are reverie and my nights lost in dreams, And with my dripping pen I create my poetry; With dream inspired words, lines, emotions and themes, Sorrow has made me the poet I was meant to be. Ah, memories, memories so bittersweet, In my mind I see our old house amongst the trees; I have memories of mom's tangled garden seat, Of bright, heavenly flowers waving in the breeze. And through the years I have learned life is deep, Entangled with friends, dreams and memories to keep. For the contest, A Penny For Your Thoughts, sponsor, Sara Kendrick
