Apart from the 120 drum samples in WAV format, the download also includes SFZ and NKI patches for each kick sample. The provided patches are already mapped across the keyboard, making it easy to match the selected kick drum to the key of your project. For a great fellow Sound Designer like yourself to complement them is a honour in itself! Thank You! 8-bit Logic (Drew Lake).

I need the dirtiest, most reverbed kick drum sample anyone has ever heard, in the rawest state possible. just goes out the window. Maybe i should use a pop guard or something? Lol thanks for telling me about google, i'll be sure to try it nudges.

There are a multitude of 808 drum packs around including our very own TR-808 The Drum Machine which are constructed of original samples directly from the authentic Roland TR 808 module, but we wanted to go one step further and focus exclusively on 808 kick drums. Rather than just supply the original 808 kicks we decided to push sonic boundaries and design a kick drum pack of 300 new 808 style kick drums. Due to the diverse nature of the kick drums we ensured that a multitude of genres were covered including Trap, Hip Hop, Drum & Bass, EDM, Progressive House,Trance, Techno, Hardstyle, Movie FX and more. Short: Designed with fast attack, heavy bottom and a fast release. Perfect for Trap & Hip Hop.

Put out just before the international moratorium on annually released double-disc mix CDs from the same artists, Roger Sanchez's third Release Yourself sounds suspiciously like the previous two collections. Of course, house music in general and Sanchez in particular aren't known for their full-steam-ahead innovation.

I get my hip hop mixes sounding the way I like them, with layered drums and the right touch of compression and eq (not much), but the final mixes tend to have more dynamic information in the meters than other mixes I've seen. When I insert my hardware L2 (for client reference CDs only), I have to struggle to get the loudness I want without having to over-limit, which is caused by kick and snare peaks. I wonder if I could tame the peaks in the mix stage, without losing the dynamic feel and sound. Not by just compressing, but in other ways. But thats cause I'm tired of hearing fail kick transients in music. I spose if you get your attack right its sweet, I just rarely feel the need. only time I feel like using a comp on a kick is to control the decay, but there's usually a better way of doing that anyway with other mics.

Kick drum can be considered as the main elements that can make your song to come to life. As a music producer myself, I do not want to have a great track consisting of uplifting melody with a sloppy kick drum that can make the song lifeless. The kick drum needs to be tight with enough low end for bass section and enough mid/high end to let it to cut through the mix. Here are a few processing tips that you can apply on your kick drum to make it tighter. 1. EQ for Kick Drums. The first thing that I’ll have in mind when I want to mix my kick drum is to remove the frequency that I don’t want.
