July 1966 80’ 32 One live, one studio album and it was the first Platinum selling double album. October 1968 75’ 25 Naked ladies and All Along the Watchtower and proof that Jimi was a Genius! November 1968 93’ 15 George Martin wanted to trim it to a single album; for once he was wrong. The most important is so ludicrous as to be silly. While not a double album, Dark Side Of The Moon was their best. As for double LPs I’ll take Electric Ladyland, Live Dead, Quadrophenia, Neil Young’s Decade and definitely Van Morrison’s A Night In San Francisco which is such an unappreciated album with fantastic music.
A double album (or double record) is an audio album which spans two units of the primary medium in which it is sold, typically records and compact disc. A double album is usually, though not always, released as such because the recording is longer than the capacity of the medium.

Blue is the first full-length album from Swiss band Double. In addition to containing updated versions of two of the band's earlier singles ("Woman of the World" and "Rangoon Moon"), the album included the international smash hit, "The Captain of Her Heart", a plaintive, atmospheric, piano-led ballad which was an immediate success throughout Europe upon its 1986 single release. Follow-up singles "Your Prayer Takes Me Off" and "Tomorrow" were less successful. All songs written by Kurt Maloo and Felix Haug.
