Martha Wash is the debut self-titled solo studio album by American singer and songwriter Martha Wash. It was released on February 23, 1993 through RCA Records. Recording sessions for the album took place in 1992 at several studios, after leaving her then-group The Weather Girls. The tracks in the album are a mixture of uptempo songs and ballads, which are basically inspired by R&B and house genres; it also features elements of soul and pop music.

anyone know if the original of 'come' was released on vinyl anywhere? I can only seem to find remixes of it

there are other more progressive sounding/tribal mixes on the yellow record and more hard house type stuff on the red, but the Brian Bristol/George Morel mix is tops. It strikes a compromise with all these different elements and goes down smooth. The second breakdown is future facing and sounds new even though it's not.

A real house music anthem, i must say the above scoring (2.5/5) does not do this double pack justice, powerful music, real house music. Really nice programmed drums on some of these remixes, this is far far away from mindless four to the floor music, a super funky baseline and of course Martha Wash on vocal, a top singer who's voice always cuts right through the mix.
