The Psychedelic Furs is the debut studio album by the English rock band the Psychedelic Furs. It was released on 7 March 1980 by Columbia Records. It was reissued with bonus tracks in 2002 by Columbia/Legacy. The original UK LP had nine tracks.
Sister Europe" is a song by the English rock band the Psychedelic Furs, taken from the band's 1980 debut album, The Psychedelic Furs. Written by the band and produced by Steve Lillywhite, it was released in February 1980 by CBS as the album's second single. The Psychedelic Furs traditionally opened their live shows with "Sister Europe" during the early part of their career.

Unlike a more common edition of Sister Europe with two shades of orange used on the sleeve [the background was pale orange and the Artist/Title strips bright orange], this edition used solid bright orange overprinted onto the black print. Both versions use a finished card with a top opening square thumb-cut at the rear.The run-out area reveals the initial intent to release this debut single on Epic (compare with the promo [=The Psychedelic Furs - Sister Europe) as the etched matrix prefix "EPC-S-" is struck-through and a stamped CBS prefix added later.
Side B consists of singled-out snippets from the album recordings, remixed backwards and banded into 7 sections.
